of the South Downs just north of Brighton Beachdown offers
comfortable, secure camping including a quiet family camping area and a
guarantee of having the driest underfoot site of anywhere in the UK due
to the chalk base of the South Downs rainwater simply seeps straight
away. So sorry no mud-baths here.
Beachdown is proud to bring you an eclectic line-up of music, film and
comedy entertainment which captures in one weekend the full range of
global and local influences that our host city Brighton has to offer.
With legendary international acts through to the best of Brighton bands
performing on 4 stages we offer a total of 42 hours of entertainment
across the August Bank Holiday weekend.
In addition we offer Award-winning cuisine from our selection of local
food partners including Pintxo People and Terre a Terre. All food
supplied at Beachdown is sourced from Brighton and the surrounding
areas to fully involve local businesses, to stimulate the local economy
and to give individual businesses the chance to get involved in what we
want to be their event as much as ours.
So if you want unrivalled quality in music, food, drink, location and

Beachdown are proud of our goal to be as environmentally friendly as
possible and thus are operating a dedicated park-and-ride shuttle-bus
service around-the-clock to get all festival-goers to and from site
quickly and efficiently.
As many of our
shuttle-buses will be fuelled by cooking oil as possible and the No 77
bus route from Brighton also has an unrivalled environmental record and
takes just 20 minutes from central Brighton to the site. A full
timetable for all routes will be published shortly.
Arrival
Beachdown Festival is a ticket-only event and
NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD ON-SITE. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE PURCHASED YOUR TICKET PRIOR TO TRAVELLING.
By Car
Beachdown is pleased to advise that there is now on-site parking
available by advance booking via this web-site - this element will be
added to the web-site shortly. Upon being designated an on-site parking
space you will be sent a
VEHICLE PASS with your ticket
WHICH YOU MUST DISPLAY IN YOUR WINDSCREEN ON ARRIVAL TO GAIN ENTRY TO CAR PARK.
All approach roads to the site and the over-spill car park at Hickstead
Showground will be clearly signed. If you are arriving from the North
on the A23 we would highly recommend using the Hickstead Showground Car
Parking for ease and from here you will be shuttle-bused to the site in
just 15 minutes. Full transportation details and car parking passes
will be available here by Friday 23rd May.
By Bus
Beachdown are chartering National Express coaches to operate a bus
service from Central London to our Hickstead Park and Ride location
with a total timetabled travel time of under 2 hours.
By Train
Simply travel to Brighton Station and catch the No.77 bus direct to the site - it takes just 30 minutes.
By Taxi
Simply take a taxi direct from central Brighton to site at a cost of around £12 for up to 4 passengers.
