Also know as Ketum - Kakuam - Ithang and Thom Mitragyna speciosa is a leafy tree that grows from 3-15 meters tall. It's leaves contain mitragynine and was traditionally chewed as an opiate substitute and stimulant in Thailand and South-East Asia. 15kg of fresh Kratom leaves are used to produce 1kg of Kratom Extract. The extract is produced by boiling the fresh leaves until they pulp - the liquor is filtered - the remaining water is reduced until it forms a resinous extract.
